Picking up the pen...

Hey guys -
I wanted to post a comment about Suzanne's topic on Saturday. Brian is at Hale's course right now in Sedona and in an effort to 'keep up' I started listening to the CD's this morning. I wanted to share something that had a lot of relevance for me and hope that it may shine some light for everyone else.
Hale may have said this while we were at BTS, but I either forgot or this got lost in the other new awarenesses. So, using the analogy of the pen - if you grip it in your hand really tight, pretty soon it starts to get uncomfortable. After a while, however, the discomfort starts to feel normal. When you turn your hand over and drop the pen, even though you may feel better, our instinct is to reach down and grab the pen again. This was a big awareness for me - I think I have been "dropping" several beliefs and old programs and it feels really abnormal even though it may be serving me better and it feels good. My instinct is to go back to the discomfort because it's what I'm used to and can deal with - I've learned to deal with discomfort.
WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?! This kind of makes me laugh. And, of course, listening to Hale laugh makes me laugh really hard.
Hope this may resonant with some of you. Have a great week!

  1. Great awareness, Kim. Makes me want to examine my life where I've maybe dropped and then picked up the pen again.
